Cindy Gallop,
Founder & CEO, If We Ran The World, LLC
The Future of Advertising
What is the future of advertising? Cindy Gallop, founder & CEO of IfWeRanTheWorld and former chairman, BBH New York, tackles the $64 million question with some highly subjective and thought-provoking views on the new marketing reality, the interface between creativity and technology, how ad agencies should be restructuring themselves, what social media really means, why it’s all about production in the broadest sense of the term, and, of course, porn.

In the last two years, his teams have helped concept, prototype, and develop work for Volkswagen, Burger King and Coke Zero, which has resulted in Webbies, One Show Interactive Golds and back-to-back Titanium Lions at Cannes.
At Boards Summit Europe, Scott will discuss the rise of the agency technologist and the increasingly important role that technology plays in advertising campaigns.

Digital & Integrated Production: Trying to find standards and practices in digital and integrated productions.
Digital and integrated productions are becoming increasingly advanced. But unlike broadcast production there aren’t any established standards, making life unnecessarily hard for a lot of people. With Stndrd_ (www.stndrd.org), an open source approach for establishing standards and practices in digital production, B-Reel & B-Reel Films has developed a production process for digital and integrated projects, which aims to guide agencies around the world toward an effective and creative production process. In this session, Lars Bjurman (Creative Director, B-Reel), Cecilia Bernard (Executive Producer, B-Reel) and Martin Ronstrom (Executive Producer, B-Reel Films) will give a guided tour on how a successful digital and integrated production should be executed. |

Online advertising is getting increasingly complex and unpredictable, to the point where great campaigns are signified by tactics rather than strategy. For anyone to pay any attention, the idea and execution needs to be an almost perfect fit for a specific brand, in a specific channel, for a specific audience for the ads to have any effect. Industry averages, rules of thumb and gut feeling are increasingly blunt tools to solve the issue. But there best practices that effectively help you navigate the unknown and deliver high-quality advertising, despite the challenges we face. Dwelling on lessons learned developing the world's first campaign analytics tool specifically for creative agencies, Gustav von Sydow, CEO at Burt shows us the most common online media pitfalls, and explains how to create great online campaigns by harnessing the idea of responding to change, rather than following plan, and shows why change and quality has to be enforced from the bottom up, rather than dictated from the top down. Finally, he explains why continuous learning, combined with simplicity – the art of maximizing the amount of work not done – is the key component to deliver massive impact.
